It’s been a fun year of Christmassy projects! I had quite the list and have been able to complete most of the projects I had set out for myself earlier in the year. As per my usual, a few unplanned projects got thrown in the mix but … that’s ok … I’m up for a challenge!
Penguins are done, made into a stocking, wrapped and under the Christmas tree! I, of course, forgot to take a picture before the box was closed and the bow on 😝 so picture later!6
The Cardinal stocking has become a 2023 finish (and I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be an ‘early in the year’ finish).
An ornament a day…
Christmas crafting during morning coffee has become a habit this year. Felt ornaments and beaded snowflake and star ornaments.
My kitchen table became craft central! There were the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ felt ornaments and then the “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” Santa, Mrs Claus and Elves”. I expect more felt friends will be appearing in 2023 as Larissa Holland from MmmCrafts has released some new designs! And I have yet to start her Ebenezer Ornament Series!
With the felt ornament project finally finished (for now), I needed to find a new morning project to work on – and I didn’t have to look far!
One of my very good stitching friends started making beaded ornaments last fall. She found a wonderful designer – Deb Roberi – and I have exclusively beaded her designs this year. Instructions are THE BEST!!!
Deb’s patterns can be found on her website https://aroundthebeadingtable.com
She’s got a wonderful variety of designs and some really nice free patterns too! Deb’s also on Etsy!
Here’s a few of the designs I like the best (links to the patterns are below the pictures)
Christmas Tree with my handmades!
This year I’ve put up a second Christmas tree just for my own creations. It’s not a big tree but it is quite lovely and I love to see all my handmade ornaments gracefully adorning each branch!
