I spent a good part of my stitching time working on “smalls”. I’ve so many in my stash and it was time to dig them out and get them finished. It’s been a prolific year and I am quite proud of myself! Once you get going the sky is the limit as to how many of these little pieces one can stitch and finish! My stash is a wee bit smaller and I now have some new, beautiful pieces to enjoy!

I keep picking up those cute little strawberries by Erica Michaels (and still have a few more in my stash)! LOL

“Lady in Red” by Valerie Pfeiffer

I was really pleased how this little trinket box turned out! I purchased the wooden box at our local Dollarama (for a really good price). Stained and finished the box myself and mounted the embroidery in the top.

“Cart” by Permin of Copenhagen

These three Permin of Copenhagen pieces have been framed together. I love how the red pops in these pieces. They are now proudly displayed in my studio!

“Oh Deer’ by Just Nan

The first “humbug” that I have ever assembled – it was a fun stitch and I can’t wait to put this one on my Christmas tree! Photos of this finish just don’t do this piece justice – therefore a little video!

September

“Acorns” Wrendale Designs by Hannah Dale

An impulse purchase for me – but squirrels are my spirit creature and I HAD to have this sweet little design. It was a fun little project. It’s amazing how effective the top stitching makes the features of this cute little fellow pop!

No progress pictures taken while these were stitched! I was in a rush to finish these (they were a Christmas gift)!

And that’s a wrap for 2023! Let’s see what 2024 brings (there’s a few old and some new projects coming). There’s still some finishing to do – that will be another post!

  1. What a fabulous series of finishes! They all look delightful =). The three three Permin of Copenhagen pieces in particular must be striking in your studio!
